We Work for You

The Chamber’s mission is to build a dynamic and sustainable organization to serve the Business, Workforce, and Economic Development needs of all in Manistee County.  The Chamber was established in 1916 and strives to drive change and growth throughout our area and that’s what our organization is still all about today. The Chamber Board of Directors Chamber Ambassadors, Staff and Volunteers are the boots on the ground individuals fulfilling this mission.

We Support Local

Supporting local businesses is a priority of the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has hosted 11 grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies so far for the year, over $7 million has been invested by these business in our community for a creation of over 40 new jobs.  We would like to thank the following businesses: Save-A-Lot, Amor Sign Studios, Inc., Blarney Castle EZ Market, Manistee Beverage Company, West Shore Bank, Lighthouse Title, Love Your Event & Manistee Bridal, the Blue Slipper Tavern, United Way of Manistee County/Project Read Northwest, Sunset Valley Resort and Iron Fish Distillery. The 2019 Business & Career Expo has come and gone, we'd like to take this time to thank all of our sponsors:

Chamber Chatter

Your Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce wants to showcase YOUR story, so we are going out to member businesses and chatting on camera about origins, how business is going, plans for the future and anything else we get on camera! You won't be on screen alone, Jacob our Marketing & Communication Coordinator, will be right there with you the whole way. If you are interested in being featured in an episode, contact the Chamber! Part of the services provided by the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce to our membership is assisting in setting up a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. We design the invitations, create the event on Facebook and tag your business as an organizer and co-host which extends the reach of the event to the audience of both Facebook pages, broadcast the event in the Chamber E-Newsletter as well as a featured event on the Chamber Website. 

In addition we send the event in an e-blast to our entire membership, the Chamber Board of Directors, Ambassadors, and local media. We also bring the big scissors and the ribbon! For more information on requesting a Ribbon Cutting, check out the link to the form below: 

The Michigan Small Business Development Center has redesigned their online training series "The Fundamentals of Small Business Success" launching January 17th!

Webinars included will cover: Starting a Business, Writing a Business Plan, Marketing Your Business, Financial Management, and Business Legal Issues.
